These rules define responsible use of Clarion. Breaking them can lead to suspension or termination.
01The principle
Clarion helps people communicate clearly and honestly. You may use it only for lawful communication that you have the right to send. The rules below protect recipients, your reputation and the service.
02You must not use Clarion to
The following are prohibited:
- —Impersonate any person, company, brand or authority, or misrepresent who is sending a message.
- —Create phishing, credential-harvesting, fraud or social-engineering content.
- —Produce spam, bulk unsolicited outreach or mass marketing to people who have not consented.
- —Harass, threaten, intimidate, defame or demean any person or group.
- —Write aggressive or coercive debt-collection or extortion-style messages.
- —Make deceptive, false or misleading claims, including invented statistics or fake endorsements.
- —Generate misleading financial, investment, health, medical or legal assertions presented as fact or advice.
- —Create content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, sexual involving minors, or that promotes violence or self-harm.
- —Infringe intellectual property or use third-party brands, trademarks, logos or names you are not authorised to use.
- —Attempt to bypass safety measures, scrape, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
03No sending on your behalf
Clarion does not connect to your email, messaging or social accounts and never delivers messages for you. You choose what to send and to whom, and you are responsible for consent, opt-outs and any marketing or communication laws that apply to you.
04Your responsibilities
Verify facts and figures before you send (see the AI Disclaimer). Respect the privacy of the people you write about, and do not upload confidential or personal data you have no right to use. Follow the laws that apply to your communications, including anti-spam, consumer-protection and data-protection rules.
05Enforcement
We may review reports of abuse and may warn, suspend or terminate accounts that break this policy, and remove offending content, without refund where the breach is serious. We may report unlawful activity to the appropriate authorities.
